Down in Front Clip & Hawk Fans

1. Atlanta & LAC Show They're Not Ready For Primetime
Boston & Detroit, respectively, sent all those Hawk and Clip fans, who were talking playoffs, packing. And let's zip that right now, shall we? This talk of playoffs in the second week of the season. Same goes for announcers who are overly fond of saying: "this game has a playoff type intensity." Hey, genius, no it doesn't. It's how these guys should play every night.

2. Kevin Martin Goes Off On The Cavs
Unfortunately he misses tying the game at the buzzer. But he gets my early votes for the all-star team. I know, it's early, I'll zip it.

And doesn't coach Reggie Theus look sharp on the sidelines? It'll be interesting to see how frayed he looks by season's end. Hey, Ron-Ron, you in there??

3. Double-Double Friday Night Fright
Emeka Okafor shows up large and scary with 25 & 23. Ditto Dwight Howard at 22 & 20. Shawn Marion misses his by 3 points. KG misses by 1 board. And if we add up the stats from the Lakers two-headed center, Bynum and Mihm, they finish with 20/20. Which is the vision I have of the Lakers, and, even with Odom back, they can fuhgettabout being scary in the wild west.

4. I've Never Seen an NBA Player Commit a Foul
Ever. Seriously.
